  • Storing and editing knowledge in a centralised ontology based repository;
  • Ability to support a minimum of 100 concurrent users;
  • Changes to knowledge and recently imported knowledge should be available for access by other users within a short timeframe;
  • Management of ontology must be flexible and easy to change by sepcified users;
  • Searching, filtering and visualising the knowledge in multiple different ways;
  • Direct access to the stored knowledge via a documented API; and
  • Fine grained security access controls to the knowledge.

EOI - Dept of Defence (AUS) - Terrestrial Communications Services

The Terrestrial Communications ITR is the initial procurement process to source a suitable provider to provision the core of a broader program of work to upgrade both the DTCN and other elements of the Defence ICT infrastructure to ensure leading edge ICT support continues to be provided in support of war fighter and corporate objectives.

Defence needs to update and upgrade the existing Terrestrial Communications network by building an integrated, high-capacity, highly reliable network which enables Defence to improve the conduct of operations and the management of its business.
In support of Terrestrial Communications requirements the Defence initiated Joint Project (JP) 2047, Phase 3 has been incorporated in the Terrestrial Communications bundle and is expected to:

  • improve the fixed network; and
  • enable improved integration of the fixed network with satellite and tactical networks, providing an integrated end-to-end internet protocol (IP) based network service to all Defence users.

The I & S group intends to use TRIM Context 6.2 as their Electronic Document Records Management System for recording Corporate Records. Defence is seeking responses from Industry to gauge the market if an application exists that will enhance the capability of the TRIM system and form the user interface to the eDRMS.The new software/application should;

RFP - Ministry of Defence (NZ) - ANZAC Platform System Upgrade Project.Integrated Platform Management System

The New Zealand Ministry of Defence (the Crown) has engaged TKMS Blohm + Voss NordseeWerke GmbH (TKMS BVN), through ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems Australia Pty Ltd (TKMSA), to provide support to the Crown in the definition, design, evaluation and acquisition of upgrades to its ANZAC Frigates, HMNZ Ships TE KAHA and TE MANA.

One such area of upgrade is the replacement of the existing Vessel Platform Control and Monitoring System with an Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS).

Respondents that meet the specified capability requirements, and the skills, experience, resources and capabilities to undertake such a project are invited to submit a proposal in response to and in accordance with the Request for Proposal (RFP) TK1004 43800 T 0001 for the provision of an IPMS to meet the requirements of the Crown.

RFT - Dept of Defence - Data Porting Services to Joint Electronic Warfare Operational Support Unit Countermeasures Development & Validation Management

The Joint Electronic Warfare Operational Support Unit (JEWOSU) is located within the Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO), Edinburgh, South Australia and is a unit of the RAAF’s Aerospace Operational Support Group. JEWOSU provides electronic warfare support to the RAAF, Navy and Australian Army and subject matter advice to the Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO) and Defence Intelligence GroupContractor support is required in order to ensure that JEWOSU has the ability to enter trials related data into the Countermeasures Development & Validation (CMD&V) management database. The database application is part of the ADF EW reprogramming database JEWD (Joint Electronic Warfare reprogramming Database), and it needs to be populated with data to ensure that knowledge is captured in the database.
The services of one person is required for the provision of data entry into the CMD&V DB Application at JEWOSU. Contractor data porting personnel shall provide the following Services;

a. review Countermeasures trials and other technical data;

b. enter the data into the CMD&V fields within the database screens;

c. utilise windows software to split large video files into smaller files. Examples of software used are, Inventa 'MPEGIO' Video capture Suite, Nero 7 Essentials, Ulead Video Studio and WinAVI converter;

d. import documents and files into the database.
