Video Conference technologies have been used to communicate between officers in ABS offices and between the ABS and external organisations nationally and internationally. The demand for access to video conference facilities is increasing, requiring the ABS to expand its video conferencing capabilities which are to be scalable for the growth in demand and capable of integrating with applications used or going to be used in the ABS.

The Commission has existing videoconferencing at its West Perth office and six regional offices. This infrastructure no longer meets the Commission’s needs in communicating internally with remotely based staff and externally with consumers, disability service organisations and other State and Federal Government agencies.
