From time to time the Department may require the engagement of specialised research services in support of the Department's work and objectives, where such research cannot be effectively undertaken internally. In particular, to support and achieve its priorities and objectives, the Department may require specialised research services of the following types:

• Economic research, forecasting and modelling;
• Spatial analysis;
• Statistics and surveys; and
• Socio-economic, demographic, consumer, qualitative research, and market analysis.
