EOI - Australian Antarctic Division (AUS) - EOI 10/341 Sample Tracking Database

The Australian Antarctic Division (AAD) is undertaking an Expression of Interest (EOI) process to source a Sample Management System (SMS) that will enable the AAD's Science Branch to manage its collection of scientific samples in a centralised database. Flexibility must exist to accommodate the range of sample types and user needs across the Branch, while providing sufficient rigour to comply with AAD policies, and state and federal legislation. The solution must also have demonstrated capacity to be developed into a full scale Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

RFT Closing 4 May 09 - Australian Antarctic Division - Replenishment IT Network

The Australian Antarctic Division (AAD) operates a network across three sites in Hobart and Kingston Tasmania and four sites in the Antarctic and sub-Antarctic. The network provides gateway services and local area networks for both data and VoIP telephony services across all sites.

The current system was installed in 2003 with most of the equipment at its end of operational life. Existing firewall, gateway and already replenished equipment will be retained as well approximately 500 Cisco IP handsets i.e. 7940G and 7960G series handsets. The statement of requirements describes required replacement equipment for both the AAD’s Australian and Antarctic based sites.
