The National Library of New Zealand is looking for a supplier to carry out Optical Character Recognition (OCR) of digitised historic newspapers for its Papers Past website: http://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz

These services are required for the period 01 July 2010 to 30 June 2012.

The Library is issuing this Request for Registrations of Interest to prospective suppliers of Optical Character Recognition (OCR) services.

The objective of this document is to identify and select a shortlist to respond to a Request for Proposal process.

The Library intends to select a preferred supplier of text capture professional services for the National Library’s programme of work.

RFI - National Library of New Zealand - Shared Public Library System Solution for NZ Public Libraries

This RFI outlines the requirements of Association of Public Library Managers and National Library of New Zealand (Te Puna Matauranga o Aotearoa) on behalf of the interested public libraries for a library system shared service. APLM and NLNZ will use the findings from the RFI to inform a business case providing evidence of the types of suppliers capable of delivering the required mix of solutions.

ROI - National Library of New Zealand - DigitalNZ ICT Professional Services

The National Library of New Zealand (Te Puna Mātauranga o Aotearoa) (the Library) is issuing this Registration of Interest (ROI) to prospective suppliers of ICT professional services.

The objective of this ROI is to identify and select a shortlist to respond to a Request for Proposal process. The Library intends to establish a panel consisting of a limited number of preferred suppliers of ICT professional services primarily for the DigitalNZ programme of work.

The services areas we are seeking preferred suppliers for are:

· Agile Project Management - using Scrum
· User Experience Design
· Ruby on Rails Development
· Search Infrastructure Development
· Shared Repository Development (using Fedora)
· Systems Administration Support

Advance Notice - National Library of New Zealand - Shared Public Library System Solution for NZ Public Libraries

This is advance notice that the National Library of New Zealand (Te Puna Matauranga o Aotearoa) and the Association of Public Library Managers are planning to release an RFI in conjunction with one third of New Zealand’s public libraries to seek partners for the establishment of a shared library management system and associated discovery interface software.

Specifically, the RFI will seek software partners, a hosting and maintenance partner and investment partners to participate in the provision of the overall solution.

The RFI is expected to be posted on GETS on October 30th 2009. Responses will close on Thursday November 19 at 12 noon.
