RFT - City of Greater Geelong (VIC) - Road Condition Data Capture and Analysis

The City of Greater Geelong invites tenders from experienced organisations to undertake the collection of roads condition data for its Pavement Management System.

Council wishes to collect condition data for its Pavement Management System (PMS). Council uses the PMS to generate its 5 year capital renewal programme for road surfaces and pavements and to model network deterioration.
There are four components to this project as follows:

a) Digital imagery of the designated road network (capture of cracking, stripping and ravelling).
b) Analysis of digital imagery and the input into Council's Pavement Management System.
c) Multi laser profiling (capture of roughness, rutting and surface texture).
d) Quality assurance.

The project will culminate in the upload of road condition data into Council's Pavement Management System (SMEC version 4.3.9). This information will form the basis of Council's renewal program through use of the PMS predictive modelling. The data will also provide a 'snap shot' of the current condition of road infrastructure and provide guidance with sustainable long-term financial planning.
