RFT - Albury City Council (NSW) - Point of Sale Terminals

AlburyCity operates a diverse range of commercial business, from cafes and kiosks at Albury Airport, Lauren Jackson Stadium and Alexandra Park, through to shops at the Art Gallery and Library/Museum and tickets sales at Albury Entertainment Centre. Each site is connected via an internal IP network.
Council is seeking to:
  • Standardise the technology between the sites to allow staff who work at one site to be able to work at the other with no additional training.
  • Protect funds and assets, maintain the integrity, security and reputation of Council and its staff and the mitigation of the risks associated with cash handling.
  • Facilitate reporting functions that improve the measurement of key performance indicators for each site.
  • Introduce new efficiencies through technology such as barcode reading combined with price look up (PLU).
It is anticipated that Council will purchase four new POS terminals initially and then consider further purchases over the next year as part of a progressive organisational implementation.
