RFP - Dept of Internal Affairs (NZ) - Syndicated Procurement of ICT Housing and Utility Computing Ser

The Department of Internal Affairs (DIA), the Ministry of Economic Development (MED), and number of other agencies, are seeking proposals from suitably qualified and experienced suppliers for the provision of utility computing and data centre housing, transition, professional, network and services management services.

This initiative falls within the remit of the Directions and Priorities for Government ICT policy.

This Request for Proposals (RFP) process is intended to lead to the establishment of a panel of suppliers that can provide these services on an as required and non-exclusive basis.

This procurement process will be in the nature of a syndicated procurement from which the initial participating agencies as well as other eligible agencies will be able to benefit. DIA is the lead agency for the syndicated procurement.

DIA expects to appoint a minimum of 2 suppliers for the provision of the services. However, the ultimate number of panel members for each panel is likely to depend on the nature and quality of proposals received from respondents.

The final composition of the panel will be determined by consideration of the best fit of services provided by the panel members against the overall business objectives.

The term of the arrangement is expected to comprise an initial term of 10 years with one right of renewal for up to 5 years, giving a potential overall term of 15 years.

Closing Date: 21/02/11
