The Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development is seeking responses to this invitation for Expressions of Interest for projects under the Boosting Highly Innovative SMEs Technology Commercialisation Program (BHIS).
The BHIS will drive the establishment, growth and international competitiveness of Victoria's technology small to medium enterprises (SMEs). The Initiative has been designed to help SMEs to focus their commercialisation efforts on technology that meets market demand. Projects are now sought under the EIO that address these key priority areas through:
Capability Building – To build commercialisation skills, expertise and connectivity in order to enhance the capabilities of technology entrepreneurs to grow global technology businesses;
Technology Transfer and Knowledge Adoption – To improve linkages between and within industry sectors and public research establishments to increase the transfer and adoption of technology with clear commercial outcomes; and,
Access to Finance – To boost the expertise, experience and development of the technology finance sector in order to improve the availability of specialist financial services and investment opportunities.Closing Date: 18/11/09
