ITO - CS Energy Ltd (QLD) - Intranet Content Management System

CS Energy requires a Intranet Content Management System (CMS) to support the redesign of its company intranet in 2011. The redesign aims to address usability shortcomings of the current intranet and make the site a more effective business and communications tool. In particular, the redesigned intranet is required to support internal change management communications for a recent company restructure.

The primary purpose of the new intranet is to connect staff to key corporate content, new and tools. In addition to this, however, there is a growing need to support activity within teams, allowing them to locally share the information they need to do their jobs.

RFI - Northland Polytechnic (NZ) - Web Content Management System

NorthTec is currently requesting information as part of a review of the backend and content management system that supports our website.

We are investigating the best content management system to meet our needs and would like to know your costs, based on this RFI, for:

• Implementation of CMS system
• Hosting
• Support.

CMS Requirements:

NorthTec is at the stage of gathering information to enable decisions about the future hosting and content management platform of the website. This document details NorthTec’s content management requirements.

The NorthTec website is a substantial site, containing an estimated 1000 pages of content. The content is predominantly maintained and edited by the Online Communications Manager, who is a member of the marketing department. There is limited access and editing by another member of the marketing team and the library staff.

The preferred CMS system will be one that is easily managed at the front-end by non-technical staff.

The accessibility of the site is important to NorthTec and being a tertiary institute providing IT education; the NorthTec website should meet best practices and lead by example. The current website is not meeting our accessibility requirements.

The website was last redeveloped and released on 18 May 2009 and currently utilises web content management features of Microsoft SharePoint 2007.
