Transgrid has established a project to implement a virtual desktop solution for 50 users across a small number of sites. Transgrid will be responsible for delivering the communications infrastructure, server infrastructure, and users for acceptance testing. The successful Tenderer will supply resources to design, install, configure, test and commission of the solution, working with the Principal’s outsourcer.
While Stage 1 is for 50 users, the solution should be scalable to the entire desktop population (approximately 500 PC’s) and provide future-proofing for other devices such as laptops, tablets and smart phones.
It is expected that the project will be implemented by the successful Tenderer who is experienced in desktop virtualisation projects.
The project will be managed by the Tenderer’s Project Manager and will be delivered using Transgrid’s project methodology.
Transgrid seeks tenders for a fixed price, fixed time engagement.
