There are some 25 departmental lawyers and other persons who need access to statutes of all jurisdictions, common law and legal material in order to assist business areas perform their functions. Statutes administered by the Department are listed in theAdministrative Arrangements Order. Access to secondary legislation, e.g., regulations and instruments, and to extrinsic material, e.g., explanatory memoranda, would also be necessary.
