RFT - Dept of Education, Employment & Workplace Relations (AUS) - Development, hosting and support of a Higher Education Decision Support system

The tender is for the development of an information system for a soon to be created Commonwealth statutory authority. This Agency will monitor the accreditation and standards of Australian higher education providers. As a separate statutory authority, the Agency will be independent of DEEWR and the system will not be a part of the DEEWR IT systems.

A core part of the new Agency’s capability will be a risk driven decision-support system and allied information management capability. Initially this will capture existing state and territory information into a National Register.

The decision-support system is the deliverable by the successful tenderer, and will need to be built around modern risk profiling principles. It will utilise data about provider organisations, their procedures and their external environment to build a fair and transparent model of their changing risk profile.
