RFI - Dept of Internal Affairs (NZ) - Government Infrastructure as a Service Project
The Department of Internal Affairs (DIA), Ministry of Economic Development (MED) and a number of other agencies are collaborating on an approach to consolidate the procurement of common ICT infrastructure, in the form of shared data centre hosting services, virtual multi-tier storage services and virtualised server services.
This Request for Information (RFI) seeks information from suppliers and service providers interested in the development of a Government Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solution to help DIA and the other agencies:
• better understand the market;
• identify whether there is a business case for a Government IaaS solution; and
• if there is, formulate the business case.
