- 3-5 years experience in application administration/development
- ability to provide development support and maintenance for client/server applications using a range of database products and development tools including MS Access 2002/XP, Visual Basic6, Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and C#.
- sound knowledge of XML, ASP, HTML, SQL Server Database Administration, MS Office automation using MS Access, Word, and Excel;
- Sound knowledge of Crystal Reports including knowledge of crystal reports server.
- Basic knowledge of development tools including Java; J2ee, JSF, PostgreSQL;
- knowledge of change control procedures utilising CVS, Subversion or similar packages
- have strong analytical, problem solving, and documentation skills
- have excellent attention to detail and follow-through
- be a self-managing and self-starting individual able to operate flexibly within a small multi-disciplinary team
- have excellent communication skills
- understanding of and willingness to work with iterative development approaches
- have significant knowledge and experience in research management systems
