Contractor Java/J2EE Developer:
- be well versed in object oriented design and development, including a well developed understanding of design patterns, UML and iterative development methodologies.
- demonstrated ability to review and build software components using Java/J2EE, and custom software components. Experience in any of the following technologies would be highly regarded: Eclipse, PostgreSQL and Linux.
- experience with complex software requirements and be able to apply their knowledge of software development within an enterprise environment using industry and Government standards and best practice.
- demonstrated experience with software quality assurance methods including: unit testing, regression testing, peer code reviews and defensive programming.
- operate flexibly within a small multi-disciplinary team using excellent communications skills combined with strong analytical, problem solving and documentation skills.
- An understanding of model driven architecture and a willingness to adapt to new development methodologies.
- Have significant knowledge and experience in research management systems.
