RFP - NZ Transport Agency (NZ) - Serving of Driver Licensing Related Documents

The Transport Registry Centre is a major business unit of the NZTA as a whole and the Access and Use business group. Its primary role is to maintain the motor vehicle and driver licence registers, manage road tolling [TLR] and account for crown revenues collected through associated transactions, such as road user charges.

To ensure the NZTA meets legislative and contractual obligations it contracts external agencies to serve legal documents on driver licence holders. These documents are issued under clause 77, 80 and 82 of the Land Transport (Drivers Licensing) Rule 1999 and relate to:

a. medical aspects of a licence holders fitness to drive,
b. demerit suspension notices issued under Section 90 of the Land Transport Act 1998, and
c.Court ordered tests issued under Section 93 of the Land Transport Act 1998.

The NZTA seeks a supplier who can deliver a good quality cost-effective service result with technology systems, which are appropriate to support the NZTA in its bid to serve successfully Drivers Licensing Notices nationally in an effective and secure manner.
