The Game Council utilises a Licensing Application to manage the various aspects of hunting licences and permissions in NSW. The current system was initially developed and is being hosted under a 5 year agreement by the incumbent vendor. This agreement is due to expire in the near future and Game Council would like to conduct an Expressions of Interest exercise to assess the options for ongoing hosting and support of the system.
The existing Licensing Application has been developed to meet Game Council NSW’s specific requirements and provides management of licence and permit applications and various supporting functions. The system is utilised by Game Council NSW staff and also provides the ability for customers to enter licence and permit applications online. Game Council NSW owns the intellectual property of the existing Licensing Application.
It is expected that vendors may propose to provide either hosting, support and maintenance of the existing Licensing Application or provision of a replacement Licence management solution that meets the requirements outlined in this EOI.
It is envisaged that the proposed solution will be delivered via a full ASP model, as per the current solution, with the Interested Organisation providing system hosting and management on behalf of Game Council. However, alternative models will be considered should they meet the requirements outlined in this EOI.
