The ARC funds research and researchers under the National Competitive Grants Program (NCGP). A project is underway to develop IT components of a broader business process to implement the Research Management System (RMS). The ARC provides competitive research funding to a broad range of external clients and the new application will provide a system to support research assessment, store assessment results and undertake reporting of assessment outcomes.
Project Outcomes
The Project Manager will have overall responsibility for the planning and execution of the RMS System development project. She/he will work day to day with a small technical team (approximately 12) to model business processes and requirements, develop technical solutions and overlay quality assurance mechanisms.
Project Deliverables/Milestones
The successful proponent will need to work closely with business stakeholders and executive managers to consolidate project initiation and manage stage controls for forthcoming development iterations. The Project Manager will be working towards a staged rollout of the remaining functionality of the system with completion in 2010. Once functionality is completed the Project Manager will focus on post-production enhancements and support.
