RFT - Dept of Foreign Affairs & Trade (AUS) - Provision of a Data Storage Solution for a Mid-range Environment

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) wishes to select a contractor to design, provide, install and support a Data Storage Solution for a Mid-range Environment.

DFAT’s current SAN-based storage system has reached maximum capacity and is at its normal end-of-life phase. The department intends to replace the current system with a solution that is:

• highly-available, scalable, and flexible;
• includes a comprehensive suite of data management tools;
• incorporates full technical maintenance and support; and
• will allow the department to implement Enterprise Storage Resource Management (ESRM) and Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) processes in a phased manner.
