The Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) is implementing an ISO/IEC 24727 compliant smartcard driver licence and has designed a number of protocols, including security and authentication protocols to control access to the card.
DTMR is seeking to identify the market capability to provide suitably qualified consultants able to:
(a) Review each protocol;
(b) Identify all potential security weaknesses and vulnerabilities;
(c) Provide advice and solutions to rectify all identified security flaws; and
(d) Identify any existing deployed protocols which encompass the same problem domain and where possible a high-level security approach comparison is required.
The consultancy, should the Customer decide to proceed following a subsequent RFO, would be expected to commence in September 2009.
